Mohare Dande Trek is a newly opened trekking trail in Annapurna region so it is less crowded & pristine. It is famous for mountain views with local culture & nature.
Mohare Danda trek route passes through two popular viewpoints, Poonhill (3200m) and Mohare Danda (3300m) from where you can see a magnificent panorama of Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri and Annapurna ranges. Hence it is also called Poonhill Mohare Danda trek.
The trail after Poonhill entirely features community lodge and homestay facilities where you will have chance to interact with locals and learn about their culture. Visiting Nangri village is one of the major highlight of the Mohare Danda community trek, which is an ethnic Magar settlement.

Morning drive for one and a half hour from Pokhara to Nayapul, a distance of about 40km. Trek starts from Nayapul reaching Birethanti in about 30 minutes. At Birethanti trekkers are required to enter their personal details with ACAP permits and TIMS. We continue our trek towards Ulleri crossing over Sudame (1340m), Hille (1460m) and Tirkhedhunga (1540m). Lunch will be served in Hille. The uphill trail from Tirkhedhunga to Ulleri is paved with 3421 stone steps, offering an endurance test for all types of trekkers. Dinner will be in hotel.
Within half an hour of leaving Ulleri, you will arrive at Banthanti (2210m). Banthanti gives way to a continuous forest path. It takes almost 2 hrs to be in Nangethanti (2430m), a resting point in the midst of rhododendron and pine forest. Most of the trail indeed goes through primitive and pristine forest. After having lunch in Nangethanti, we continue our trek to Ghorepani for another 2 hrs. Ghorepani is a Gurung and Magar settlement offering splendid views of Dhaulagiri range, Tukuche, Dhampus, Gurja Himal, Nilgiri, Baraha Sikhar, Hiunchuli, Annapurna South. Dinner in hotel.
Note: If you still have energy and if the weather is good, we will continue trek on the same day to Poonhill (3200m) to watch panoramic mountain views of Dhaulagiri range, Dhampus peak, Tukuche peak, Gurja Himal, Nilgiri range, Barah Sikhar, Annpurna South, Hiunchuli, Annapurna I and II, Gandharba Chuli, Fishtail, Lamjung Himal and Manaslu at the far end.
We start our trek by carrying packed breakfast at around 4:30am. We will climb Poon hill which takes about one and a half hours. Watch sunrise view from Poonhill while also eating breakfast. Afterwards we leave Poonhill behind and trek towards Mohare Danda. The trail passes through rhododendron forest while enjoying great mountain views. On reaching Mohare Danda witness sunset and even better views of Dhaulagiri range, Nilgiri and Annapurna range than Poonhill. Lunch and dinner in community-run homestay.
Early morning observe sunrise view followed by breakfast. Start trek from Mohare Hill to Nangi which spans about 4 hrs. The trail is full of ups and downs along forested path. We will be crossing hampal Pass at 3098m then descend to Nangi, inhabited by Magar community. Enjoy the view of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges from Nangi. Lunch and dinner in community homestay.
After breakfast, we descend to Banskharka (1526m) for about three hours. The trail dramatically descends for the first hour, then steeply goes uphill before again dropping to Banskharka. Lunch will be offered in Banskharka before continuing our trek to Galeswhore. Arriving at Galeshore, you will board a pre-arranged vehicle to drive us back to Pokhara.
