Mardi Himal trek 5 days is one of the shortest trek that takes you at the height of 4500m in 5 days. It is the combination of amazing views, high altitude, eco tourism, beautiful scene, wildlife, jungle, flora, fauna, lifestyle and adventure. Due to its remote location and wilderness, it is less crowded and is often taken as an alternative option to Annapurna Base Camp trek.
Mardi Himal Trek 5 days is one of the best rated short treks from Pokhara that takes you to Mardi Himal base camp. This short treks around Pokhara offers close views of Annapurna (8091m), Mt. Fishtail (6,993m), Mardi Himal (5578m), Mt. Hiunchuli (6,441 m), Annapurna South (7,010 m) and other mountain ranges.
Mardi Himal trek 5 days passes through traditional villages, green forests and verdant valleys. Along the trek you will have the opportunity to learn about local culture of Gurung and Magar ethnic communities and experience homestay facility.
07.00am: Start driving to Kande along Pokhara Baglung highway.
07.30am: arrive in Kande and start trek to Australian Camp and Pothana.
09.00am: Arrive in Pothana and continue the trek to Deurali.
10.30am: Arrive in Deurali and have your lunch.
11.30am: Continue the trek after the lunch to Forest camp along jungle route.
04.00pm: Arrive in forest camp and overnight.
Note: the trekking route from Deurali to forest camp does not offer any tea station or rest house. So, please carry enough water for the trek.
07.00pm: Dinner at your rest house.
07.00am: Breakfast at your hotel.
08.00am: Start your trek to Rest Camp.
NOTE: This place was named Rest Camp because of the challenging uphill trail. Trekkers can hence stop for a break on the way to High Camp at Rest Camp. So it is named – Rest Camp. You will see glimpses of Fishtail Peak and Annapurna III and IV.
09.00am: Arrive at Rest Camp and continue the uphill trek to Low Camp.
10.30am: Arrive at Low Camp (2970 m). Continue the trek to High Camp. On the way you will see the Himalayan mountains such as Annapurna South, Fishtail, and Hiunchuli.
12.00pm: Arrive at Badal Danda. Have your lunch here.
NOTE: Badal Danda is above the tree line (above the clouds) on clear days. You can see amazing views of Fishtail, Mardi Himal, Annapurna South, the top of Ghorepani, and Pokhara Valley clearly from here. If you are staying at Badal Danda, you will be able to witness some of the most amazing of sunsets and sunrises. Please make your hotel’s reservation as early as possible because there is only one hotel in this area.
01.00pm: Continue the trek after the lunch to High Camp.
03.30pm Arrive at High Camp. Check in hotel/lodge. NOTE: Dinner will be prepared at the hotel/lodge
05.30am: Wake up and have your tea at the lodge/hotel.
06.00am: Bring your packed breakfast and begin your uphill trek to Mardi Himal Base Camp. NOTE: This is an uphill trek. On the way you will see close views of Annapurna South and Fishtail.
09.30am: Arrive at Mardi Himal Base Camp. Feel the altitude and enjoy close up views of Mardi Himal Peak.
10.30am: Our mission is over. Continue the downhill trek to High Camp.
12.00am: Arrive at lodge/hotel in High Camp. Have your lunch before heading to Low Camp.
01.00pm: Begin your downhill trek to low camp
03.00pm: Arrive at Low Camp. Overnight at local lodge in Low Camp. Dinner at the lodge.
07.00am: Wake up and have your breakfast.
08.00am: Start downhill trek to Siding Village (1885m).
11.00am: Arrive at Siding Bazar. Have your lunch at local restaurant.
NOTE: Siding has a small bus station. If you do not wish to continue the trek, you can take a bus or Jeep to Pokhara. It is 3 hours drive.
12.00am: Continue the trek to Lwang Village. Lwang is a Gurung Village with rich culture and tradition. You will not only see it, but you will be able to feel the natural vibes too.
03.30pm: Arrive at Lwang Ghalel Village (1600m). You will have a good opportunity to experience the culture and tradition of the Gurung Clan. Spend the night at a homestay with the locals.
NOTE: You will stay and eat at a local house with locals. They will make the traditional Nepali meal call Dhal Bhat (lentils, rice, and seasonal vegetables with fresh organic ingredients). Enjoy the meal and with the local chicken curry. A local cultural dance program can be organised for a small fee. In your free and easy time, you can explore the village until night falls.
00.00am: Visit the Lwang village.
09.00am: Have you breafkast at the homesay.
10.00am: Start driving to Pokhara. Note Local bus to Pokhara is available from Lwang village.
01.30pm: Arrive in Pokhara. Drop at your hotel.

Cancellation policy is only applicable to package tariffs. The cancellation charge will be against the total package cost after deducting non-refundable expenses such as permits, transportation costs, airfare expenses that have been paid as part of the trip.
If you cancel your trip 30 days prior to the program start date, 15% cancellation fees of the total package cost will be charged.
If you cancel your trip 15 days prior to the program start date, 30% cancellation fees of the total package cost will be charge.
If you cancel your trip 1 week prior to the program start date, 50% cancellation fees of the total package cost will be charge.
If you cancel your trip less than one week prior to the program start date, it will be deemed as no show and hence no refund will be made.
