Patan Durbar Square is an excellent example of Nepali architecture. Built in the 17th century, the square has beautiful palaces, courtyards and temples such as Krishna Temple, Jagat Narayan Temple, Mahabauddha, and Rato Machhindranath.
A visit to Patan Museum is not to be missed if you are into history. Some of the landmarks that sustained damages by the earthquake are currently under renovation and the square has been opened for public.
How to get there?
Patan is a city adjacent to Kathmandu. Buses, taxis and other public vehicles regularly go to Patan from Kathmandu.
