Changu Narayan Temple- the oldest temple in Kathmandu valley- is a world heritage site in recognition of exquisite stone, wood, and metal craft. Located about 22 km east of Kathmandu, Changunarayan Temple is constructed in Pagoda style and is decorated with ten incarnations of Narayan or Lord Vishnu.

There are statues of Garuda and mural paintings of Durga and Avalokiteswara inside the temple. A museum has also recently been opened for tourists in the premises of the temple.

How to get there?
Getting to Changunarayan is also easy. Public buses and other vehicles operate from Bhaktapur to Changunarayan every day. You can also hire a taxi to take you to Changunarayan.
